- This has always caused me problems.
-
- When I'm trying to get the camera to fly in an approximate circle
- around an object, I usually start by making the first and last keyframes
- (since they're in the same spot), then the middle one, 180 degrees across
- the circle, then the 2 quarter locations.
-
- This results in a rounded square.
-
- Then, using the TOP view, I start trying to round out the square by
- eyeballing the location of various mid-points around the circle.
-
- Anti-intuitively, to me at least, this does not work, as there always
- seems to be a nasty lumpiness to the path. The more keyframes, the lumpier.
-
- (Let's assume that the animation makes it impossible to use any kind
- of parenting tricks.)
-
- Is the only way to do this is by making a path in Modeler? By straight
- motion manipulation is there any way to get a smooth circular path exclusively
- thru Layout?
-
- Also, the keyframes seem VERY lumpy, even with TBC set to 000. To me
- they seem lumpier than automatic splining would imply. Why am I so confused?
- (Now, be kind.....)
